RECOGNIZED QUALITY PRACTICES SUPPORTING ON-TIME BUILD PLANS
On-Boarding of the new project begins our process. This process includes working with our client to establish timelines, technical specification, quality thresholds, resources requirements and the SLAs that drive the expectations. Tracking mechanisms are created and agreed at this point.

UNDC brings our field engineers into Client markets to safely gather data required to design OSP Engineering deliverables. Our first choice is digital capture using Katapult ProTM software. Other established practices can be supported also.
- Pre-Design
- Scheduling and Coordination
- Walkout-Digital Data Capture
- Data Transfer to Designers
- QC/QA
- Project Tracking
UNDC design engineers complete a Pre-Design for the project that field engineers use for walkout and field data collection. Data gathered is morphed into the initial EWO and moved to quality control engineers. Once cycled for accuracy and any corrections, the EWO is delivered to the client.

Activities related to acquiring permits to make use of public utility easements and / or public Rights-of-Way (ROW) for the purpose of placement of communications facilities. Where required, field engineers visit locations and gather data. Permit drawings and applications are created by our permitting engineers. If professional engineering approval is required, UNDC facilitates this requirement in several states with our partners.

Basic posting/drafting can be completed in all CAD programs. UNDC drafters will also pre-post design engineer plans by inputting to the client’s GIS records platform. Final designs will be refined from the pre-design and moved forward for final Quality Control. As-Built posting takes place after construction has completed the project with data final posted in the client’s GIS records platform.

UNDC uses a GIS based application to migrate existing outside plant records to a GIS records system. Many providers have not made the move to a GIS based records and UNDC can facilitate that requirement as part of our design process, or on a stand-alone project.
